Motorola Connect is one of the coolest features of the Moto X, a feature that has actually filled the gap between your PC and phone as a new browser extension for Google Chrome. Go to Settings and tap Active Notifications.
Scroll down to the Motorola Connect option and click Tap here to get started.
Follow the instructions and link the Motorola Connect to your Gmail account.
Before you leave for the main menu, make sure you’ve checked the box in front of the Motorola Connect option.
In future, if you ever wish to change the Motorola Device ID to another Gmail address, just tap the settings icon placed along with the checkbox and associate the right Gmail address with it.
Now that you’ve enabled your phone, it’s time to make your desktop to be linked with Motorola Connect. But before you start, make sure you’ve Chrome web browser installed on your PC, otherwise download Chrome for Windows 8/7/Vista/XP.
Open the Chrome browser and log into your Gmail account.
Download the Motorola Connect extension for Chrome.
Go to the right and click on Add to Chrome option.
Follow the instructions that appear in the prompts and choose your Gmail address.
Your extension will be installed within a couple of minutes. Then connect it to your phone and download your text messages and calling history.
That’s it – you’re done.
Now whenever you login using Chrome, no matter which computer you use, Motorola Connect will be installed there.
To use this feature, just go to the top right of your chrome browser and tap on the little Motorola Icon. A pop up window will appear showing your recent texts, calls or even voicemails. Whenever you get new alert, you’ll see a small pop up at the bottom with options to either reply or ignore that alert message.
Motorola Connect is no doubt a very handy feature to use, it is currently supported on only Motorola’s new phones including Moto X, Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid MAXX.
