How To Fix Adobe Flash Video Playback Stuttering Problem In Android Devices
Some android devices have been experiencing stuttering and laggy video playback using flash players for example You Tube. The XDA member Roach2010 has found a solution to this problem. According to him this is because of a missing file in the browser.
The problem is that some devices somehow end up with a missing file that the Browser uses to talk to Flash Player. In my case if I clear the Browser data and reinstall the latest version of Flash Player from the market the config file does not get recreated.
Without this fix users report an average of 10 FPS. After applying this fix the video playback is returned to a normal of 30 FPS.
This problem is known to be more common on Asus Transformer running Honeycomb.
Step 1
Make sure you have some recovery installed in your device.
Step 2
Download one of the following, depending on which browser you use, place it in the root directory of your SD card. More importantly the fix is for stock browser.
Step 3
Flash the ZIP from recovery.
