Install RSPL and HSPL On HTC Windows Phone 7 To Flash Custom ROMS
Secondary Program Loader is something that sits inside your device all the time, allowing you flash ROMs. So if anything wrong happens to your ROM, SPL is your life saver. OSPL (Original Secondary Program Loader) is the default SPL which comes pre installed with stock ROM.
OSPL do not allow Flashing custom ROM. RSPL/HSPL (Reloaded SPL/Hard SPL) on the other hand allow flashing custom ROMs. RSPL stays in RAM, and its temporary. RSPL’s task is soft reset to get back to OSPL. HSPL remains in the internal device memory, taking place of OSPL. It cannot be rolled back to OSPL by soft reset.
Note. GoldC and SparkW are not supported by this release. Make sure you have atleast 50% battery charged. The installation is supported on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows Vista. The following procedure may void your warranty.

Preparing your device
- Charge your phone to atleast 50% bettery
How to Launching RSPL
Step 1
Extract rar file.
Step 2
Right click on “DFT_RSPL_WP7FG1_LAUNCH” and click “Run as Administrator”.
Step 3
Click “Next” to continue.
Step 4
Enter OSPL mode, reset your device and then hold Volume Down key from your phone.
Step 5
Plug you phone with computer via USB cable.
Step 6
Install USB driver in case you don’t have them installed already. Drivers comes with Active Sync/Windows Center.
Step 7
Check that your device show “USB” instead of “Serial”.
Step 8
Click “Next” button from on DFT_RSPL_WP7FG1_LAUNCH running on your computer.
Step 9
It should recognize your device.
Step 10
If your device do not get connected. You would require to apply “Windows XP compatible mode” in the properties of exe file to get connection if you are seeing WCEUSBHS driver for Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
Step 11
Once you see your device detected with it codename, select HSPL or OSPL version.
Step 12
Click “Next”.
Step 13
On the completion of process, your device shall reboot.
Step 14
Enter in SPL mode (See Step-4).
Step 15
Make sure you see HSPL.Y.Z and CotullaHSPL.
Install HSPL
Step 1
Run RSPL.
Step 2
Extract rar file and find “DFT_HSPL_WP7FG1_INSTALL.exe”.
Step 3
Right click on “DFT_HSPL_WP7FG1_INSTALL.exe” and select “Run as Administrator”.
Step 4
Plug you phone with computer via USB cable.
Step 5
Install USB driver in case you don’t have them installed already. Drivers comes with Active Sync/Windows Center.
Step 6
Click “Next” button from the wizard on your computer.
Step 7
It should recognize your device.
Step 8
